Due to the limited allocation, and in order to create a fair and broad distribution to lottery participants, the Old Rip Van Winkle and Buffalo Trace Antique Collections are combined as one lottery. Participants entering the lottery have the opportunity to win one bottle from either the Old Rip Van Winkle or the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection.
To participate in the Old Rip Van Winkle/Buffalo Trace Antique Collection lottery, you must:
- Be signed up for the Highly Allocated Lottery before Friday, December 5, 2025. If you are not registered already, please visit the Highly Allocated Products page to learn more about the lottery and sign up to participate.

Enter the lottery between 8:00 am, Monday, December 8, 2025 and 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 11, 2025. One entry per Class “E” retail alcohol license number will be accepted.
The 2025 lottery will be conducted as follows:

Entry into the lottery will be done via the Shop Portal on the Highly Allocated page. The tab is found in the main menu.

Old Rip Van Winkle/Buffalo Trace Antique Collection Lottery

All of the Old Rip Van Winkle allocation and Buffalo Trace Antique Collection will be placed in a combined pool and a single lottery will be conducted.

Licensees receiving Old Rip Van Winkle or Buffalo Trace Antique Collection will be randomly chosen and each winner will be awarded one randomly-chosen bottle from the combined pool.

Once chosen to receive a bottle of Old Rip Van Winkle or Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, that licensee will not be eligible to receive another bottle from the combined lottery.

Lottery Claims Process

Licensees can select if they plan to claim their bottle via Will Call or Delivery on the lottery entry form.

Will Call is recommended to ensure the most secure transfer of product.

Please note if your store chooses Delivery, any unintended damages are only subject to a refund and not a replacement.

No changes of Delivery or Will Call method (or pick up day) will be made.

All winning licensees will be listed on the Highly Allocated Lottery Results page on the Friday after the lottery completes.
