In the early 1930's and inventive barman at a New York City club combined BÉNÉDICTINE Liqueur and fine French brandy, creating BÉNÉDICTINE and Brandy. The drink was an instant classic and was so popular that it began being bottled as a pre-mix in 1937. The name was shortened... and the rest is history.
